What is Biking for Baseball?

In 2012, the original B4B team road biked to all 30 Major League Ballparks in an effort to get you to impact your community by becoming a mentor. At every stop along the way they hosted a kids clinic working with a local agency to energize existing matches and showcase mentoring to potential new mentors.

In 2015 the torch was passed to Matt Stoltz, a Wisconsin native who did the ride to all 30 solo and unsupported!  Matt showed true grit pushing through an incredibly difficult ride and was able to raise over $10,000 in support of his local Big Brothers Big Sisters chapter in addition to working with the B4B team to host three kids clinics.

Matt is a true inspiration and someone we’re lucky enough to now have on the Biking for Baseball Board of Directors!

For 2017 the torch is passed again. Tim Lalla a Chicago area native embarks on the ride to conquer all 30. With the support from previous riders and fans like you cheering him on 2017 is looking like “The Year of Tim!”

Tim challenged not only himself, but also the B4B team to take the next step in support of mentoring with the “B4B Little Scholarship Fund” Learn more about the program and what Tim’s riding for in 2017 on the Programs Page.

Why Mentoring?

Becoming a mentor is a fun and rewarding way to positively impact your community! Just one weekend a month can make an enormous impact on the life of a kid.

Kids that have mentors statistically are less likely to get into trouble, do better in school, and are more likely to become good influences themselves.

Bottom line is kids with mentors tend to become better adults!
